Smells like fish...

...rotten fish, anyway.

Two weeks after surgery, I learned that the area needs more detailed cleaning than it used to, and it's actually kind of tricky while taking a shower. Aside from washing the surface like before(since that's all there was), you also have to part the labia and wash the inside, otherwise you'll get that rotten fish smell and it WILL become noticable to yourself and others. It's a little difficult to part the labia while water is running down, but it has to be done.

There Will Be Blood

Part of a series of "better late than never" posts. This week's problem has been blood and sutures. The sutures started surfacing on a grand scale about two weeks after surgery, and they're about as annoying as they were with step 1. As for blood, I've been occasionally getting small limited blood supplies getting released when I BM. There's also still blood from dilation. It's not very pleasant...

10 days later, finally got the 3 again...

Ugh. Scary.

I've finally healed to the point where I can get the 3 in again. I won't try the 4 yet, but I figured out a technique: Take a deep breath, hold it briefly, push (oddly enough) with the PC muscle and try to slide the dilator in while slowly exhaling.
What a pain...

Oh yeah, may as report the state of things:
At this point, the labia is very rigid, almost comically so. It'll diminish over time as the scarring softens and the swelling reduces, but right now it's a little ridiculous. That's what will continue to interfere with dilation for some time to come.
However, pain is almost gone at this point and I have, more or less, a full range of motion. For example, I can do high kicks into the air now. Definitely easier than SRS/BA was.
