June thoughts, randomness

Not much to blog about these days. It's about a month since I told the BF and things are going well. The whole T issue has been less and less prominent in my mind. Dilating with the 5 is showing little progress, but no regress either. I'm finding that even though I'm still in the twice-a-day period, once-a-day might be enough at this point. In some cases, twice-a-day may be detrimental...it doesn't give me enough time to heal.

As for healing, it's all still swollen but slowly getting better.

That's it...really...not much to talk about until the LP draws near.

The BF reacts.

I thought it was too easy.

So the BF reacted today, asked a couple questions. Nothing devastating or anything and we're still together. Two of the questions I expected, one was a little odd, asking me something "if I feel solely like a woman" and "are you happy like that". But I guess it's how he's coming to grips with it.

I'm aware that it could always go kaptusky at any time, but this relationship will go south fast if I have that kind of attitude. One of my T friends had 5 or 6 relationships before getting one that survived the news, so I'm aware the odds are against me...

My first SRS complication!

yayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayay.

I now have fodder for future SRS complication oneupsmanship!
Ok, in reality it's a minor complication that according to my GYN, happens to 80% of SRS patients.

Apparently there was granulation in the graft area in the back of the vagina. Since what was the head of the penis got tossed out, except for part used for the glans clitoris, some internal tissue is grafted to close the vaginal canal. (which used to be the shaft) So when they're stitched together, it eventually heals, but sometimes it overheals, causing excessive tissue (granulation) to form. My GYN has to kill off the excessive tissue with sodium nitrite. (I think that was the chemical, not 100% certain)

So apparently this is why I had trouble reaching full depth when dilating. Go figure.
